In the north-eastern part of Latvia, in the most hilly part of Aluksne Highlands, about 180 km from the capital Riga, there is a wonderful place on the Estonian border with lakes, hills, meadows and forests. The summers are shorter than in Latvia, so they are especially welcome and dear. Winters are taller and colder, richer with snow. In this nature-protected area covering Veclaicene, Jaunlaicene, Ziemera and Ape, we live in naive, but stubborn males and slow but active Estonians. With the help of this site, which was attended by students and lecturers from Vidzeme University College, we want to give you all the magic we are proud of.
