“GRŪBE HIDRO” Ltd warmly welcomes you to the Holiday house “Melderi”!
It is located near the motorway Rīga – Veclaicene, where the calm waters of the river Vaidava turn into a white cascading waterfall at the renewed Grūbe hydropower station. The historic watermill turbines tell the story of the past, and there is a dolomite outcrop to be seen. The well looked-after surroundings invite you to rest at the summerhouses and the pavilion, and to quench thirst with the spring water. The holiday house offers a wide range of activities for different events. There is accommodation for families, tourist groups, summer camps; tent places on the bank of the river Vaidava; a sauna and an outdoor swimming pond, a bonfire place and an arbour. The restored “Hay barn” is a popular venue for events in summer and celebrations up to 100 guests. A reception hall up to 60 guests is also available, and a separate sauna building with a hall up to 30 guests, a Latvian sauna and a hot tub. Up to 100 guests can stay overnight at “Melderi” – there are 50 bed places at the apartments and another 50 can be accommodated on extra mattresses. Catering can be arranged for groups and banquets.
