Farmstead “Purakalni”

Farmstead “Purkalni” warmly welcomes you!

The farmstead is located in an area rich with forests, between the river Vaidava tributaries the little Cekuļu river and Ančku spring. The owner of the house is a talented woodworker-carpenter. His creations, especially wooden doors, can be seen in many houses in Ape area. The farm grows different vegetables; the secrets of Jerusalem artichoke growing have been discovered, even how coffee can be made out of them. During the growing season, blackcurrants and redcurrants can be tasted straight from the bush, strawberries and apples offered in the arbour made by the owner himself, maybe even some honey can be sampled. The thirsty traveller can have some water from the well. Forests in Purakalni area are rich with berries and mushrooms, but you will have to look for them yourself.
