Ziemeri Manor and the manor ensemble in one of preserved and saved in Vidzeme as most important architectural objects of national importance, as well as historical, cultural and natural heritage of Latvian and European significance.
The manor Ziemeri Manor, dated on 1550. Probably, the manor main house building, built in 1750, in the style of classicism with baroque elements is the same as it has been rebuilt and preserved in nowadays. Cross arches, fireplace, oak stairs, always double oak doors and atmosphere have saved and survived.
In nowadays it becomes as residence of culture and creativity through centuries surrounding fulfill of peace, joy, relaxation and dreams.
It’s a great chance to explore other historical times by trying on the costumes in the manor salon. Enjoy a special desert, prepared by historical manor recipes, in manors café “4 Rozes un Vilks”.

Ziemeri manor chronically was recorded already in 1550, when its owner Johan Felberg sold the manor to his brother-in-law Albreht Seimer. During centuries and various historical periods, the manor is experienced by many owners: in 1631 Swedish govermentI gave the manor to Christopher Langenberg, but during the Polish rules, it was owned by Rodgers Arsen. The king of Poland gave away the manor to Janis Cernovskis, who sold it to Vazinskis. In 1660, the King of Sweden granted the manor to the State Counselor Emund Grippenhill, until he sold it to Captain Johann Brant and till the begining of 19th century it is his family estate.
In 1804 the manor was bought by Johann Gottlib von Wolf and is owned by the family until the agrarian reform of Latvia. Approximately in the 1930s ,a section of Latvian border guard was targeted at Ziemeri Manor, but in 1935 to Teodors Plūme, director of Bank bought it as a present to his daughter Elvīra Plūme (Felsberga). During the Soviet era, the main manor building used to be Executive committee of the Ziemmeri Village, a library, local club, a dairy, collective farm “Vaidava”, forestry and apartments.
In the 1990s, the Felsbergs family restored their property rights. In 2003 Dita Balčus with her family bought the main manor building and water tower.
