Veclaicene History Depositary

The Veclaicene History Depositary is located in the Veclaicene rural district administration building in Korneti – the starting point of two nature trails – and can be a relaxation place between walks in nature. It provides information on the nature and people in Veclaicene – their lives, their household traditions and their school years, particularly emphasising the historic Latvia-Estonia border as well as everyday life and language related to it. The stock is based on the materials collected by the history teacher of Veclaicene primary school, Ēvalds Vanags. They are different items and written articles

There are interactive games available for both Latvian and Estonian visitors, as well as video materials and films on the nature, people, peculiar border life and language of Veclaicene.
